Asvin Srivatsangam
CEO, and Co-Founder
Asvin Srivatsangam’s passion and energy have been the driving force behind the vision of Yali Dream Creations. Like many of us, Asvin harbored a dream of creating and sharing stories through various media. His early childhood was enriched by cartoons and Indian mythological stories, which sparked his imagination and love for storytelling. Although years of corporate life temporarily put this dream on hold, Asvin never stopped weaving stories in his mind. Eventually, his passion led him to start his own comic book company, Yali Dream Creations. His fascination with storytelling and the visual medium of graphic novels provided a perfect outlet for his creativity.
Under Asvin‘s leadership, Yali Dream Creations has achieved significant milestones. One of his most notable accomplishments is the pioneering debut of The Village as an Amazon Original Series. This marks the first-ever graphic novel from India to be adapted into a live-action series, a groundbreaking achievement that highlights Asvin’s visionary approach and dedication to bringing Indian stories to a global audience.
In addition to The Village, Asvin is also working on Variyaan, a story about a Chola superhero. This project continues to showcase his commitment to exploring diverse narratives and celebrating Indian heritage through innovative storytelling. Vivek Rangachari
Co-Founder
He is the co-founder of DAR Motion Pictures, which has active interests in film production, financing, distribution and entertainment marketing. In his capacity as a producer, Hei has, over the last eight years, successfully produced and released several Hindi and Marathi films including critically and commercially acclaimed films such as ‘The Lunchbox’ (Cannes 2013 ; Critics Week), Vivek is now in the process of producing films such as the Hindi re-make of the hit Malayalam film ‘Bangalore Days’, Arunima Sinha (first female amputee in the world to climb Mt. Everest) biopic with a leading Hindi actress. He, is also producing original digital content for Hotstar and is in discussions with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Applause Entertainment, Voot and Zee5 on various other shows.
Bijoy Raveendran
Creative Director & Writer
Bijoy Raveendran leads a dual life as a User Experience Designer by day and a writer/vampire by night, weekends, and public holidays. A geek and self-proclaimed leech with a penchant for daydreaming, he possesses a voracious urge to tell stories. An avid film buff, Bijoy enjoys studying the craft of filmmaking and screenwriting, which influences his narrative style. When he’s not indulging in his nocturnal writing habits or chilling with fellow vampires, he appreciates simple pleasures like a steaming cup of ginger tea, a rainy afternoon, or petting random dogs.
Bijoy‘s debut book, Codename Alpha, is an irreverent superhero comic book set in Mumbai, India, showcasing his unique blend of humor and action. His latest release, Codename Alpha 97’ (also known as Codename Alpha Book 2), continues the adventures of his unconventional superhero.
Currently, Bijoy is working on a horror comic book series set in Kerala called Technicolour Lovers. This series promises to be a thrilling exploration of horror, with the first of the three books set to be released by late 2024. Bijoy Raveendran’s eclectic interests and diverse storytelling skills make him a compelling and innovative voice in the world of comics and beyond.
Shamik Dasgupta
Senior writer
Shamik Dasgupta, a veteran in the Indian comic book industry with two decades of experience, began his illustrious career at Virgin Comics. Over the years, he has left an indelible mark on the industry with his exceptional storytelling and creative vision. His contributions are particularly prominent in Yali Dream Creations’ popular titles such as The Caravan, Rakshak, and The Village. As a senior comic book writer, Shamik has been instrumental in shaping the narrative landscape of Indian comics, bringing rich, culturally infused stories to life.
One of Shamik’s most notable achievements is The Village, a groundbreaking graphic novel that has garnered significant acclaim. This work is particularly distinguished as the first graphic novel from India to be adapted into a live-action series for Amazon Prime, becoming an Amazon Original Series. This milestone highlights Shamik’s exceptional ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with a wide audience, transcending the boundaries of the comic book medium.
Throughout his career, Shamik Dasgupta has consistently demonstrated a profound understanding of storytelling, character development, and cultural nuance. His work continues to inspire and shape the future of Indian comics, cementing his legacy as a pivotal figure in the industry.
Raviraj Ahuja
Publisher
Ravi Raj Ahuja was born and raised in Delhi. He serves as an editor and publisher at Bullseye Press Comics, where he has the privilege of shaping captivating narratives. Since November 2022, he has also donned the mantle and responsibility of publisher at Yali Dream Creations, further extending his influence in the comic book industry.
As a freelancer letterer, Ravi meticulously crafts the typography in comic books, ensuring a seamless reading experience. His dedication to detail and passion for storytelling are evident in his work.
When not immersed in the world of comics, Ravi finds solace in the company of his two adorable cats. Their presence provides a comforting balance to his busy professional life, allowing him to unwind and recharge. Ravi’s unique combination of editorial expertise and artistic skill makes him a valuable asset to the comic book industry.
Jagan Devarajan

Jagan Devarajan is a seasoned technologist with a successful track record in Silicon Valley, contributing to groundbreaking projects such as the first Android device, the first Android HD tablet with Netflix HD experience, the first flexible wearable, the first large scale home fitness products, and the Quest 2 VR headset. His startup experience, leadership skills, and ability to turn abstract ideas into reality make him a valuable asset. Sethumadhavan Napan

Having spent several years working with prominent entities across diverse sectors like FMCG, Retail, Education etc., Sethumadhavan Napan finally decided to follow his passion and got into the media and entertainment space nearly a decade ago. A veteran in the online space, Sethu is the founder of Mad About Moviez (www.madaboutmoviez.in), a platform which lays emphasis on indie & regional cinema. Apart from being a film journalist and a subtitler in his spare time, Sethu has also been noticed as a distribution & marketing consultant for films. Currently the COO of DAR Media/DAR Motion Pictures (makers of films like The Lunchbox, D-Day, Ugly, Haunted, Mickey Virus, Bucket List etc.) and among their board of directors, he turned producer with the Marathi film Bucket List featuring Madhuri Dixit. As of now Sethu’s dabbling with multiple projects, including films in Hindi and regional languages as well as setting up original digital content (films and series) for leading OTT platforms.
Prince Ayush

Youngest in our Core Team. Being an avid fan of comic books, Prince Ayush has read over ten thousand plus comic books since he learnt how to read.He is an aspiring creative who is trying to discover his potential.He has written and Co-Illustrated India‘s first cyber superhero comicbook ’Hanubot ’. Being a graduate in Animation, Ayush has also worked for several ad-agencies as Content writer, Storyboard artist and Animator.
Ayush himself being a huge Yali Fan joined us back in 2017.Since then, he looks over Yali’s social media handles.Currently,He is pursuing his Masters from MIT,Pune and hopes to contribute more to the thriving comicbook industry.
Ashok Rajagopalan
Writer and Creator
Ashok Rajagopalan has been an esteemed illustrator and graphic designer since 1989 and a published writer since 2007. Over his prolific career, he has illustrated more than 500 books for prominent publishers such as Tulika, Scholastic, Macmillan, Oxford University Press, and Orient Longman. His distinctive artistic style has also graced the pages of magazines like Chatterbox, Quest, Junior Quest, Hoot, and Toot, where he has written and drawn engaging comics.
Ashok has also collaborated with Asvin Srivatsangam on two remarkable graphic novels, Dynast: The Rise of Bherek White and Neelakshi, showcasing his versatility and talent in the realm of graphic storytelling.
Currently, Ashok is working on scripting a highly anticipated five-part comic book series titled Variyaan. The sequential art for this series is being done by the talented Tamal Saha. This collaboration promises to bring another visually stunning and captivating story to life, continuing Ashok’s legacy of creating compelling narratives in the world of comics.

Kishan Harchandani is Multi Venture Entrepreneur having more than 18+ Years of combined experience in out of the box creative design and Information Technology. He is expert in Ecommerce Platform Development, Web Design and Development & CMS, Domain Management, Server Management & Administration. He is handling all IT related work regarding eCommerce Website Management and Servers. He is also a Comic Book Youtube and owned channel named KHVLOG.
Vishwanath Manokaran
Colorist
Vishwanath is an experienced Digital Color artist from Chennai. Vishwa had collaborated with Shamik on many occaassions beginning from Ramayan 3392 AD, Irith from Arkin Comics, Daksh and finally on Caravan. Vishwa had also worked on several international comics like H20 published by Dynamite Entertainment. For Yali Dream Creations he has done the coloring for most of its titles.
Zach Zerries
Script Developer
Born and raised in and around New York City, Zach attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, majoring in film production. Merchandise, an action-drama he wrote, is currently in pre-production (shooting 2018) and will star Mickey Rourke, Mira Sorvino, and James Russo. YDC’s most recent addition, Zach is developing “Rakshak,” “The Village,” and “Neelakshi” for the film and television markets.
Pramit Santra
Sequential Artist
Pramit Santra is comic book artist from Chhattisgarh, India. He is working in this field since 2013 as a freelancer. As a comic artist, his aim has been to create and work on new stories and vivid characters.
Pramit was sequential artists of Rakshak origin series, where he penciled and inked nearly 300 pages.
Bikash Satpathy
Penciller
Bikash is an emerging artist from Orissa, ‘The Caravan’ is his first published Graphic Novel. He followed that up with ‘Devi Chaudhurani’ Volume 1. His latest contribution for Yali Dream Creations is for The Caravan: Blood War series.
Abhilash Panda
Sequential Artist
Abhilash is basically a sequential artist who has a bachelor‘s degree in painting from Banaras Hindu University. Apart from comic books he is passionate about films and classical paintings. In particular, he loves watching horror movies from the ’80s.
