Chennai publisher’s work is India’s first graphic novel adaptation for OTT
Asvin Srivatsangam’s ‘The Village’ has been acquired by Amazon Prime and stars actor Arya
As a young child, Asvin Srivatsangam grew up reading comics and watching cartoons, notably Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle. He later graduated to DC and Marvel. His love for comics eventually made him pursue graphic design as a career and he then shifted to California for work.
When Srivatsangam set out to create his own graphic novel, it was not easy to get it published. So he turned publisher himself and thus his company Yali Dream Creations was born.

Sands of Rajasthan, gypsies turned vampires hunting down innocent villagers, a night of blood and gore, and a lone survivor facing destiny after years -the page-turner graphic novel `The Caravan’ has all the makings of a potboiler. And it may well be for its `Bollywood’ style action, suspense and glamour that the 2013 horror-adventure comic book has been picked up by a Mumbai production house to be made into a Hindi film.
